Who can go on a Quest Retreat?
- Retreatants: Current Freshman & Sophomores (classes of 2029, 2030). 1 night/ 2 day Retreat, Sat. 8AM- Sun.Noon
- Leaders: Leader applications will be available in July of 2026, for leaders from the classes of 2027 and 2028.
What is Quest?
- Quest is a two-day retreat for students in high school, grades 9-10. On Quest, you will learn more about yourself, your relationships with family/friends, & your relationship with God. Quest includes group discussions, games, prayer, & talks where teens & sometimes young adults share their lives. Teens stay overnight at the Port Center For Prayer (9263 W St Francis Rd, Frankfort, IL). There will be a separate floors for young men and young women. Most rooms are double occupancy.
Policies to abide by:
- NOTE: PHONE POLICY! Phones will not be utilized during retreat activities (speakers, small group time, prayers, etc); they will be stored away during this time. Students will be given free time to check in with family. It's best to explain this to your child ahead of time so there are no surprises! Parents can get a hold of their child through the Youth Minister (815--970-1725) for emergency situations.

Adult Chaperones:
Chaperones will help w/ small groups. We appreciate your commitment as a chaperone greatly! Without Chaperones Quest can't happen!
- Requirements to Chaperone:
- 1.) Login & create a Virtus Account online, https://www.virtusonline.org/virtus/index.cfm?
- 2.) Take Protecting God's Children online course
- 3.) Do the Back Ground Check (Every 5 yrs.)
- 4.) Take the Mandated Reporter Course
What Will It Be Like?
- Quest starts when retreatants arrive at St. George Catholic Church (5272 5000N Rd) on Saturday morning. Students will stay over night and then we'll attend Mass together (families are invited to join us) on Sunday morning at 10:15am. Then, we will enjoy breakfast as a group after Mass (in the Parish Hall)
- Leaders will meet on Friday, Novmeber 13th to finalize plans, and then arrive at the retreat center early on Saturday morning.
What to Bring?
- Toiletries (toothbrush, shampoo, deodorant. etc), comfortable/casual clothing , slippers/comfy socks, a reusable water bottle & a snack to share with the group. Sleeping bag, pillow, blanket, air mattress if desired (boys will be in the Querbes Center Building, girls will be in the Parish Hall building. Adult chaperones will be in each building).
What is the COST?
- Retreatants - $25.00
- Leaders - No cost
