Upcoming Events

Confirmation Students (for next year) - current 7th graders

It's time to start talking about Confirmation Preparation!  You and a parent must attend ONE of the following Confirmation Preparation Sessions if you want to be confirmed next year.  Those sessions will be held on Wednesday, May 8th from 6:30-7:30 PM, and/or Sunday, May 19th from 7-8PM.  Both sessions are being held in the Parish Center.  Contact Maria Pallissard with questions.  [email protected] or (815) 933-8285 ext. 226.

Fortitude Meals

The MBVM Fortitude Meal Committee has already delivered several meals to the local Fortitude Homeless Shelters.  If interested in joining this committee, contact Maria Pallissard at (815) 933-8285 ext. 226 or email [email protected]

Fortitude Collections

Our parishioners are taking up a collection of travel size razors, shaving cream and deodorant for the street ministry as well as the new PADS shelter.  Bins are located inside the doors of church.  Thank you for your donations to help those out on the street.  To find out more information on Fortitude, or to volunteer to help visit www.fortitudecommunityoutreach.org.

Camp MOSH - July 28 - August 2nd, 2019 - We need Volunteers Youth and Adult!

We need YOUR help!  Whether you volunteer for one day or all 5....we need YOU!  Mark you calendars for Camp MOSH - (Maternity Outreach Service for Humanity).  This is a community service event where over 300 volunteers lend a helping hand to help in our community.  Over 70 service projects will be done throughout the week.  If interested in getting involved, contact Elise Dubravec at (815) 933-8285 ext. 135 or email [email protected]  For further information on Camp MOSH, and to enroll to be a volunteer, click here!

Camp MOSH Projects

We need projects and we would love to help you if we can.  If you struggle to keep your home clean, we can help you!  If you struggle with yard work....we can help you!  We can wash windows, clean baseboards, clean and organize basements, trim bushes, pull weeds, paint fences, etc.  If you need help, we have the kids to do it.  To complete a Work Request Form, click here.

Monetary donations for Camp MOSH

Envelopes can be found in the pews.  Camp MOSH which stands for Maternity Outreach Service for Humanity, is a week during the summer where our parishioners go out into our community to do service work for those who need an extra helping hand.  The monies collected go toward job materials and running the volunteer camp.  Together, we can be the hands and feet of Christ in our very own community!

Mom's Group - 2nd Thursday of the Month 

Be encouraged, ponder and pray together with other mothers, whatever your age.  We don't have the answers.  There's no RIGHT or WRONG way. We are on the journey together.  We will meet the second Thursday of each month, from 7:00pm - 8:30pm in the Parish Center.  Grab a friend and come, or come alone and make a friend.  For more information click here.

NEW Young Adult Choir - Ages 18-25ish

Faith Buddies

Religious Education and Prayer for children and teens with special needs.The Parishes of Kankakee County have begun a Religious Education Program for children and teens with special needs. Come join us! There is NO COST for this program. Those with mild issues to severe disabilities are welcome. Please share with any families you think might benefit.  From: 9:30-11:00 a.m. Location: St Joseph Parish Religious Education Center, 207 S.
