Area Wide Reconciliation - December 17
Maternity will host an area wide reconciliation service on Sunday, December 17th from 3:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. in the church for individual confessions.
CCW Luncheon - December 13
Join us on December 13th at 11:30 a.m. in the Parish Center. Please bring a dish to share, meat will be provided. All women of the parish are welcome! Reminder, Joy in January will be on January 6th at the Kankakee Country Club. Cost is $25 and must be paid with registration. REgistration deadline is Dec. 4th. The Giving Tree has become a tradition here at Maternity. It gives all of us a chance to reach out and help others in need celebrate this season of wonder. The envelopes are on the tree in the back of the church. Please purchase the item on the envelope’s front label. You may purchase gift cards or you may also provide a tax deductible check made out to Maternity BVM Assistance Fund and we will gladly purchase your gift cards. Please place your envelope in the collection basket at any Mass or return to the Parish Office by Monday, December 18. Thank you for sharing with those in need in the true Spirit of Christmas.
Volunteers Needed for Hospitality Committee
If you have the gift of hospitality, we need you! We are looking for warm & welcoming parishioners to form a newly developing Hospitality Committee here at Maternity. MBVM Homebound Ministry Needs Volunteers

NEW Young Adult Choir - Ages 18-25ish

Please join our Christmas Choir!
This is a wonderful time for those who cannot commit to weekly rehearsals, to sing with one of our choirs. Here at Maternity, we have a place in our music ministry for everyone! Find the group that meets your needs and talents. Rehearsals for Christmas choirs are only for 1 month.
- Adults who would like to sing at the Midnight Mass on Christmas Eve will begin rehearsing on Wednesdays, beginning Nov. 29 from 6:30-8:30pm in St. Viator Hall.
- Teens & Young Adults, who would like to sing (or play their instrument) at the 3:30pm Christmas Eve Mass, will rehearse on Saturday, Dec. 23, from 1-3:00pm in the choir loft.
- Youth Choir will have an additional rehearsals, Sunday, 10-10:30 in the choir loft on Dec. 17, and then sing with the youth ensemble at the 3:30pm Mass Christmas Eve
- Tell your children when they come home from college to join us!
- Children, ages 5 – 10, who would like to sing at the 6:00pm Christmas Eve Mass, will rehearse on Sundays, beginning Nov. 26, following the 11:00 Mass, from 12:15 – 1:00, in Viator Hall, and on December 23rd from 9:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m.
- Instrumentalists, who have played for 2 years or more, and would like to play for Christmas, are also welcome to play any of the Christmas liturgies. Please email Chris Lord, firstname.lastname@example.org,, to discuss it with her.

Religious Education and Prayer for children and teens with special needs.The Parishes of Kankakee County have begun a Religious Education Program for children and teens with special needs. Come join us! There is NO COST for this program. Those with mild issues to severe disabilities are welcome. Please share with any families you think might benefit. This is an ecumenical form of prayer modeled after the Taize community (an ecumenical Christian monastic community of brothers) founded in the 1940's by Br. roger in Taize, France. Taize will be offered on the first Friday of each month. Please come enjoy one hour of quiet, reflective, candle-lit prayer.
