Harvest Sunday Food Collection – Sunday, November 9

Our annual Harvest Sunday Collection, the largest food drive in our community, will take place on Sunday, November 9. Youth volunteers will be collecting non-perishable food donations right from your porch beginning at 9:00 a.m.

Please place your donations in a bag or box clearly visible from the street, and include the flyer that was distributed to all homes on Sunday, November 2. If you have other items on your porch, kindly separate your food donations so our volunteers can easily identify them.

If your items are not picked up by 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, we sincerely apologize—occasionally a home may be missed. You are welcome to drop off your donations at: Maternity BVM Catholic Church, 308 E. Marsile St., Bourbonnais. Plastic bins are available outside the parish offices, or you may leave items inside the church front doors between 7:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. daily.

Thank you for your kindness and generosity in helping fill the shelves of local food pantries and supporting our neighbors in need.

Bishop Hicks' Call to Make Disciples

Bishop Ronald Hicks invites all of us into a renewed commitment to the heart of our Christian mission: to MAKE disciples of Jesus Christ. Rooted in the Great Commission, this call encourages us to encounter Christ more deeply, grow in faith, and share the Gospel with joy in our families, parishes, and communities. Bishop Hicks reminds us that making disciples is not just the work of a few, but the responsibility of every baptized Catholic. Through conversion, confession, communion, commission and prayer, we are called to walk together as missionary disciples who bring the light of Christ to the world.

Bishop Hicks' Letter

Welcome, Pope Leo XIV!

With great joy and gratitude, we welcome the election of Pope Leo XIV as the new leader of our global Catholic Church.

As the successor of St. Peter, Pope Leo XIV steps into this sacred role with humility, wisdom, and a heart for service. We look forward to his guidance, inspired leadership, and unwavering commitment to the Gospel as we journey together in faith, hope, and love.

Let us join in prayer for Pope Leo XIV as he begins this important ministry, asking the Holy Spirit to strengthen and bless him in the days ahead.

Ad multos annos, Pope Leo XIV!

May your papacy be marked by peace, unity, and a deepening of faith among all God's people.
