HOSTED By: Bishop McNamara has invited MBVM Parish to their event this year! Kairos is a 3.5 day, Catholic retreat for youth who are currently Juniors or Seniors in High School. Each night you will return to your own homes then return back each morning to the retreat at the allotted time. You do not have to be Catholic to experience this amazing retreat! On Kairos, retreatants will have the opportunity to contemplate God’s role in their lives. The four days give retreatants a chance to step away from the busyness and noise of society and discover their relationship with God with their peers.

What Will It Be Like? Kairos includes group discussions, activities, prayer, and talks where student leaders and adults share their lives. The retreat will start after school on Wednesday and end mid day on Saturday.

What Is The Cost? Cost is $145.00 per person (Financial assistance is available, contact Carrie Rink). CLICK HERE to pay online or mail in a check made payable to Maternity BVM Catholic Church and mail to 308 E. Marsile St., Bourbonnais, IL 60914.

What Do I Bring? Wear Casual but modest clothes for four days, reusable water bottle, a snack to share, Do not bring any valuables or money. Phone use is NOT allowed during the retreat, but will be used each night to call or text your parents to let them know when you are leaving the retreat.

How Do I Sign Up? To begin registration Please fill out the MBVM Form below. You will then be emailed the Kairos/MAC registration forms from Carrie Rink that will need to be returned asap through a scan, emailed, or mailed back to Carrie Rink for completion with payment.

**Parents please notify your school that your child is attending Kairos, attending Kairos IS an excused absence approved by BBCHS Principal.

Authorization: By checking this box I give permission for my child to attend Kairos with the Maternity BVM Youth Ministry. I hereby release and indemnify, the Diocese of Joliet and Maternity BVM Catholic Church in Bourbonnais, it's staff and volunteers from any and all liability arising from claims of any kind of nature whatsoever from my child's participation in this trip. I understand that my child is responsible for following certain rules and regulations that are designed for their safety while taking part in this trip.
Medical Authorization: By checking this box I grant permission for the administration of First Aid to my child by the people in charge of this trip and those transporting my child to and from as their judgement deems advisable, and to make the necessary referrals to qualified physicians for treatment of illness or accidents of a more serious nature. I understand that I will be promptly notified in the event of any serious illness or accident and prior to any major surgery, except when delay in such communication would endanger life. In case of medical emergency, I understand that every effort will be made to contact the parent/guardian of the participant. In the event that I cannot be reached, I hereby give permission to the physicians selected by the adult staff/volunteer to hospitalize, secure proper treatment for, and to order injection, anesthesia or surgery, if deemed necessary for the child.
Code of Conduct: By checking this box I understand that the following Code of Conduct must be followed: Arrive on time. Demonstrate common courtesy and respect at all times. Inappropriate language/behavior will not be tolerated. Socialize in public areas. Dress modestly. Writing on clothing should reflect Christian values. The possession or consumption of any alcoholic beverage and/or possession/use of any illegal drug is not permitted. Smoking or vaping is not allowed. Weapons and/or drug paraphernalia are not allowed. If under the age of 18, prescription drugs need to be given to an adult from our parish for storage and distribution. Infraction of any of these rules can mean immediate dismissal with no refund. Participants will be responsible to local authorities as well. I understand and agree to this Code of Behavior. I also understand and agree that at the time of infraction requiring my child's dismissal, I am responsible for my child's removal from the premises and any costs involved.
Hold Harmless: By checking this box, I agree on behalf of myself, my heirs, assigns, executors, and personal representatives, to hold harmless and defend Maternity BVM, the Diocese of Joliet, its officers, directors, agents, employees, or representatives from any and all liability for illness or death arising from on in connection with my participation in this event. In the event that I should require medical treatment and I am not able to communicate my desires to attend physicians or other medical personnel, I give permission for the necessary treatment to be administered.
Use of Photographs/Videos for Marketing Purposes Permissions: I grant permission for my child to be photographed or videotaped or the purpose of promotional efforts on the church's social media, website and/or newsletter and bulletin.
